Healthy life For You!

I try my best to eat the best foods I can. I pick lots of fruits and grain breads to eat. Sometimes I eat salami and other times I eat turkey. Also sometimes I eat salads which are good for me. You lose by eating better and being more active. In class we have learned about the food pyramid and we need protein, dairy, grains, fruit, and vegetables. When you’re taking in fewer calories and losing calories by being active you lose weight.

Blue zones are in Sardinia, Okinawa, Loma Linda, and Costa Rico. Blue zones are social and everyone works hard. They also have a very good diet. Some people there live all the way to a 100! All blue zones have very hard workers and people that eat good food. In Costa Rica they eat many vegetables and fruits like papaya. They also eat tortillas made with lots of calcium. In Sardinia they drink wine it has many polyphenols. In Okinawa they eat fruits, tofu, and fish. Retirement doesn’t exist in these countries so everybody has something to do. That can help you le longer because you have a purpose. An active life helps you lose calories and you have something in the day to do. When you’re active you always have something to do you feel excited. If you learn about blue zones you might want to live it. You need to have a healthy diet, be active with work, and be with family and friends.

A free radical is a single neutron two neutrons make a healthy cell. A free radical tries to get a half of a healthy cell so it has a partner, but when the neutron tries to get itself a partner the healthy cell falls apart. Some ways to get free radicals are stress and no sleep. Free radicals can cause cancer. Antioxidants are something in fruits and vegetables that are very helpful with fighting free radicals. Antioxidants fight by taking in the free radicals, but instead of turning into a free radical they keep on taking in free radicals. Antioxidants are found in acai berries, cherries, tomatoes, and blue berries. Acai berries have lots of antioxidants, as many as 1027.

My pyramid is a guide to show what you need each day. It shows what kind of food you should eat like you need to eat lots of vegetables and fruits but not lots of fats and oils because those aren’t food groups. My pyramid tells you how much food you should eat. Lots of people don’t eat from the My pyramid because don’t have time to make the exact amounts and some just don’t want to. People don’t want to because it is very hard to get the exact food and people don’t want to eat only from the food groups most people like sugar and fats which is not a food group. You need to eat more of the fruit and vegetable groups they are good for your muscles and the fruits have antioxidants that are good. Vegetables and fruits are good for you. You should eat less of carbs because they make your brain hungrier if you don’t have carbs it will be better for you. You also shouldn’t eat sugars and fats because they are bad for you.

Your emotion can affect your food choice because if you’re sad you could be eating sweets all night. Also if you feel really happy instead of cooking at home you could go out to eat and get dessert. Cost is another reason because you are poor when you’re in college. You have to buy cheap and fatty food that’s not good for you at all.

When you are active you lose calories and that helps your health. When you lose calories you lose weight and it helps your lifestyle. It helps you maintain your health by losing weight. Activity’s like running, walking, playing sports, jumping jacks, and any types of stretching. Activities that don’t help you burn calories are video games, IPads, phones, T.V., and playing computers. Body image is what you think about your body and what other people think about your body. T.V. commercials sometimes make you feel bad about your body and T.V. shows have sometimes jokes about people fat or skinny.

I have learned lots of stuff about nutrition I will start eating better foods from the My pyramid. I have learned what foods you need to eat and how much to eat. I have learned what body image is and know I know how to treat people about body image. I learned about blue zones and antioxidants but all of this is about our health. We need to have really good health because we need to live if we don’t stay healthy we might all die.
